NURSING FOUNDATION

This department deals with the first semester and second semester students and function towards the understanding of the philosophy, objectives, theories and process of nursing in various supervised clinical settings to enhance the knowledge and nursing practice. It further helps the students to acquire deep knowledge, develop competencies, skills and techniques in skill laboratory.

MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING

This department deals with the third and fourth semester students and focuses on advanced nursing practices and specialties in the field of Medical Surgical Nursing. This helps students to deliver holistic care to their patients and develop skill to function as a specialized Medical-Surgical Nurse. It also helps the students to take up various roles such as educator, manager and researcher in their field.

OBSTETRIC AND GYNECOLOGICAL NURSING

This department facilitates the students learning in developing expertise and imparting knowledge in the field of Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing. It helps students to appreciate the patient as a holistic individual and to develop skills to function as an independent midwifery practitioner. It further enables the students to function as educator, manager and researcher in their field.

CHILD HEALTH NURSING

The department plans, assists and executes the students in developing expertise and in-depth understanding in the field of Child care in both hospital and community set up. The students are trained to appreciate the child as a holistic individual and develop skills to function as Neonatal and Pediatric nurse specialist. It will enable the students to function as educator, manager and researcher in their area.

MENTAL HEALTH NURSING

Special focus is given on students to execute superior performance, acquire in depth knowledge in the field of Mental Health Nursing. Teaching is given to gain advanced skills for nursing intervention in various psychiatric conditions. It is ensured that students function as psychiatric nurse practitioner, specialist educator, manager and researcher in their specialization.

COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

This department help students to expertise and gain in-depth knowledge in the field of Community Health Nursing. Students are made to understand and appreciate the holistic lifestyle of individuals, families & groups and develop skills to function as Community Health Nurse specialist/practitioner.
