NURSING FOUNDATION LAB

Nursing foundation lab is equipped with 12 beds including all sophisticated equipment’s and advanced manikins, simulators and interactive models like CPR manikins, Medical & Surgical instruments, Human Torso Manikin for gaining skills. The students gain experience and confidence by handling and performing procedure on manikins. Also the lab is equipped with high simulated manikins to practice advanced nursing procedures which are otherwise performed in the critical care units like BLS and resuscitation care in an ideal set up to give hands on practical skills to students.

COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING LAB

Strives to prepare nurses to deliver competent care holistically considering cultural context to motivate the students for the Community Health Nursing practices. We have community bags equipped with articles for home visit, records, puppets and charts pertaining to community area.

NUTRITION LAB

The nutrition lab is a special area for on-site cooking demonstration and food display. It has fuel connection, storage space, refrigerator, hand washing sinks with traditional and modern cookware for hands on practice.

MATERNITY AND CHILD HEALTH LAB

Simulated manikins are provided to practice and identify abnormal findings during abdominal examination. Also delivery and episiotomy suture simulators are available to enhance the practical skills. The lab is equipped with pelvis (both natural and artificial), various instruments that are used for normal delivery, forceps delivery and caesarean section examination. Also the lab has an array of models, simulators, charts and various play therapy materials. All nursing care skills of newborns, infants and children are demonstrated.

PRE-CLINICAL SCIENCE LAB

It has plenty of static and working models, specimens, articulated and disarticulated bones, posters and charts. The usage of Anatomy museum by the students is encouraged as a tool to improve group learning. The best automated learning tools such as an autoclave, microscope and glass slides are available.

COMPUTER LAB

It has modern computers with the latest software installed. The usage of statistical software and activities relating to research are encouraged. It has 24×7 online resources and facilities provided in an uninterrupted manner with accessible to internet connectivity.

AUDIO VISUAL AIDS LAB

It is equipped with high-tech educational media to support the teaching-learning activities of the nursing students. The collection in this includes television, overhead projectors, slide projectors, audio-visual equipment’s, CD player, public address systems, digital cameras, etc. In addition, the laboratory has excellent collections on models, charts and other exhibits related to the nursing arts. The visual aids prepared by nursing students in various occasions also decorate the library.
